WIC (Women in the Church) is the women's ministry set up within our church and within the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) on a larger scale. It is open to all women: members, regular attenders, and visitors.
What is its overall purpose?
WIC was established "that every woman know Christ personally and be committed to extending His Kingdom in her life, home, church, community and throughout the world."
How does that fit in here at Lakeview?
The WIC at Lakeview has developed its programs and ministries to fit in with the mission statement of Lakeview. Our WIC exists to gather women into our covenant community and to perfect them in the love of Christ through discipleship, evangelism, missions and mercy.
What are some of the Women's Ministries at Lakeview?
Mug and Muffin: These gatherings are open to all the women in the church. Everyone is encouraged to bring a friend and a mug of her own as we enjoy a time of prayer, fellowship and growing in Christ together. These are generally held on the 3rd Saturday of each month (9:30-11:30 am).
Women's Morning Bible Study: Thursday morning at the church (9:30-11:00 am). Currently studying I Corinthians.
Women's Evening Bible Study: The church office would be happy to give you details. Please contact us.
Other WIC-Sponsored Events: Women's Retreat, Rummage Sale, Bridal/Baby Showers, Presbytery-Wide Meetings, Helping/Coordinating various church-wide Special Events.
Please join us! For this month's events, see the church calendar.
