Jude: Contend for the Faith
In a world that tells us, “Live your truth,” how do we “contend for the faith that was once and for all delivered to the saints” (Jude 3)? In the Book of Jude, the church faced false teachers who twisted God’s grace into a freedom to follow our every desire—not unlike what we encounter today. While our culture shouts, “You do you,” Jude urges us to “build ourselves up in the holy faith” (Jude 20). We are not called to be “true to ourselves” but to be true to the timeless truth “once and for all delivered to the saints.”
